Toccoa Military Museum

Creator's Description

In this video I take you inside the Military Museum in the center of Toccoa, GA. Toccoa is the home of Camp Toccoa, the birthplace of the 101st Airborne Division during the early 1940's in the midst of WWII. Camp Toccoa was where Easy Company from HBO's mini-series Band of Brothers, trained. While the camp is now gone, the museum has all sorts of artifacts and memorabilia for the camp. The museum centerpiece is the stable that initially served as barracks when the company first arrived in England in 1944. More recently the building was slated for demolition, at which point interested parties purchased the structure, had it disassembled, transported to Toccoa, and reassembled!
