I probably would have had another kill, but my assigned squad mate seemed almost determined to ram me from the very beginning. All of the P51s are great birds. You can deploy combat flaps without ripping as high as 700 kph and tighten a turn way more than you might think. If you can get an opponent to try to keep up with you in an extreme verticle engagement, your landing flaps will keep you moving and in control until under 100 kph. Very few planes can match the P51 in this kind of energy fight. Not something you can resort to every time, and you need plenty of energy to start with, but when the situation is right, there's just nothing else that can match this. At least nothing I have flown.
