Matthew 12:25 tells us that a house divided against itself will not stand. In using this scripture reference, Abraham Lincoln made this statement, “A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free.” As it was seen here in the natural, so it is in our own spiritual lives. We cannot truly function in the spirit half slave and half free. The apostle Paul instructed Timothy to meekly instruct those that oppose themselves so that they may return to the place that God had intended for them and acknowledge their own spiritual place in life.
