On May 10th, 2011, the state of Israel celebrated its 63rd independence day, and on what became another Independence Day tradition, El Al Israel Airlines performed a flyover over Israel. 4 Boeing airliners took part in this year's flyover. EL AL dedicated the flyover to the Shalit family, the Arad family and the families that have suffered casualties as a result of Israel's wars and of acts of terrorism, as well as to families of those missing in action and prisoners of war.
